The Fellowship of Dragons Newsletter - November 15, 2019

Between September and October, we took in around $14,500!!! The Fundly campaign totaled $5250 and netted $4827 after fees. Other big surges came from Faith's future MIL, Tammy ($6K) and the Candle Queen fundraiser ($2432) along with a few generous corporate matches.
With this amazing influx of funding, we are able to pay off the boat, trailer and any other costs associated with the boat.
We now have a surplus of approximately $2000. I will provide exact figures at the Annual Meeting on Nov 30, to include an updated budget for 2020.

A request for Board position nominations went out last week. I have received a few replies, but will welcome more until Nov 15.
Election of the Board will take place at the Nov 30 Annual Meeting. Anonymous ballots will be provided and ballots will be sent to those not in attendance.
I know everyone is eager to know WHERE we are going to compete next year. We want to know where YOU want to go next year! Please research festivals, complete the attached form and send them back to me. Please research up to three "drive-able" festivals (maybe no further than 6-8 hours) and one "flying" festival (preferably in the U.S.). There are no guarantees we will choose the ones you present, but we definitely want everyone's input! MEDICAL RELEASE - Attached you will also find the team medical release. Normally, we will require them to be turned in by Dec 31, but I'll extend the deadline to Jan 31.Per our by-laws, each paddler will need an updated form each year

Yoga Fundraiser at 4pm on Nov 16. We will coordinate a picture with the Stacy (aka Candle Queen) before or after the yoga session, as her shop is only a few blocks away. Perhaps we can go to dinner after yoga/picture opp? Please bring your uniform top for the picture.

Annual Team Meeting and Holiday Party at 4pm on Nov 30 at Ellie's house. More details on the party to come!
Back by popular demand, we will sell Candle Queen Candles in early December. This will be a much shorter campaign and we hope to capitalize on the need for Christmas gifts!
